15) Summer BBQ & Steamboat Restaurant (pork free)
23-3, Jalan PJS 8/18,Dataran Mentari,Bandar Sunway 46150,Petaling Jaya.017-669 5833
Just found a new all-you-can-eat buffet steamboat restaurant at Bandar Sunway. It's call SUMMER BBQ & Steamboat Restaurant and is across the road from Restoran Yuen Steamboat, at the newly completed shophouses (2nd flr?). It has a lift to take you up, if you have problem with stairs.Charges are RM18.80 for adult and 10.80 for child/senior citizen. Free flow of drinks for RM1 per head (four types of drink). Although this outlet doesn't have that many varieties of ingredient for the steamboat, as compare with Yuen, it certainly make up for that with the BBQ option. There are two types of soup, namely herbal and tomyam. I found that the cooked food, e.g. fried rice, fried kuey-tiaw, marmite chicken, curry chicken, taste quite good, some in fact, are better than Yuen. The BBQ is done by the staff. You just pick your selection of seafood and chicken and collect it when cooked. Taste for BBQ items are also not bad.I was told that if advance booking is make, there will be a discount of 5% (iirc). Their tel no. is 012-3034668 and they are open from 5.30pm to 1.00am.

hi,

boleh saya tau, halal disini adalah mendapat kelulusan sijil halal dari JAKIM atau SEA?

tq

Most eateries mentioned here are 'pork free'

To confirm eateries are with halal certificate or not you have to check with Jakim n check with their list.

Halal definition in Malaysia:
1) operator is known muslim (e.g. malay restaurants),

2) outlets with halal certificate from Jakim (fast food outlets, hotels etc). These eateries serve halal food and strictly no alcohol.

3) pork free outlets. These outlets don't serve pork but serve alcohol. Their meat is obtained from halal source(e.g. an outlet in Kemaman display halal meat supplier certificate on their door)

4) pork free outlets. These outlets don't serve pork but serve alcohol. No halal certificate is displayed. Diners should seek confirmation on halalness of food serve before dining there.

5) pork free outlets. These outlets don't serve pork and no alcohol. No halal certificate is displayed (e.g. mamak shop, kopitiam etc). Diners should seek confirmation on halalness of food serve before dining there.

Hai guys..

I've just recently opened a steamboat buffet restaurant called 'Malaya Steamboat Buffet'

Location : G69 & G70, Jalan Prima SG3, Prima Sri Gombak, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor

Our price - RM23nett (adult) RM10nett (kids 4-12yrs)

Specialty - home made soup & sauce. Nothing like u can find in other restaurant..

Since we have just only recently open, we are yet to obtain the HALAL certification from JAKIM. It's a very thorough & tedious process, may take months to approve. However, fret not. As a muslim myself, we only take our supplies from supplier with JAKIM's HALAL certification.

Look forward to have you there.. :)
